Criminal History request delays
The National Police Checking Service is currently experience a large volume of referrals. As a result, we are experiencing a delay in the return of cases subject to further investigation. NPCS has notified First Advantage that these delays will have an impact on some Criminal History requests.
First Advantage will continue to deliver the cases that are not subject to investigation within the regular, rapid turnaround time. NPCS is unable to provide an estimated turnaround time for investigations.
Please be assured that First Advantage is actively monitoring the situation with NPCS; however the priority is to achieve the accurate release of Criminal History Information.
NPCS is working on a number of strategies to help reduce the current delays and improve the turnaround times. They will continue to communicate with us when extended delays in are occurring.
First Advantage will provide updates as we receive information from NPCS.
